Stories of a Japanese Australia

What if Japan had won the Pacific War? Overlords: Stories of a Japanese Australia explores that imagined history through a collection of short stories.

Beginning with an imagined Australian capitulation in 1944, the stories follow the consequences of Japanese rule through to 1972.

This collection turns from the question of who committed a crime to a different kind of uncertainty: how ordinary lives might unfold in a country with a radically altered past.
